Mondo Presents: STAR WARS! Raider by Kinsey On Sale Now!

In cased you missed our last release, we are working with Lucasfilm LTD on an official series of screen printed STAR WARS posters. This poster marks the second offering into the series with Dave Kinsey contributing his talents and creating this beautiful image.

“Raider” by Dave Kinsey. 24″x36″ screen print. Hand numbered. Printed by D&L Screen Printing. Edition of 350. Click HERE to buy.

When asked about his memories of STAR WARS, Kinsey said “When I first saw Star Wars as a kid, I remember being intrigued by the Tusken Raider’s mystique and anonymity.”

The Tusken Raiders, like Gonk, have really stayed with us at Mondo over the years; easily one of the most unique characters of the Original Trilogy. Even with very little screen time, the look, mannerisms (riding single file to conceal their numbers) and even the sounds that the Sand People made are classic.  We are proud to make this our second offering in the series.

We will have more STAR WARS offerings soon. To find out when they go on sale, follow us on Twitter.

So will this one be sold in store like the Gonk poster?

You’re the awesome! I FINALLY got in on one of these. While I’d love one for myself (and what girl wouldn’t?) — I instead bought one for my older brother’s 45th birthday.
He’s gonna flip out. His birthday’s August 5th… if you wanted to wait to mail to him closer to that time, that’s cool…but not necessary.

    I LOVE me some Mondo.

The checkout process was much smoother this time around.
Totally appreciate the streamlining Justin, *high five*!

Ps. Kinsey + Star Wars = Boner Time for sure.

  5. yeah, you have any of these in the store? or some sitting in the store, like the Gonk, but not for sale?

  6. Ryan says:

I was going to purchase this item but I remembered the other times I tried ordering a limited edition print from this site only to have the poster placed in my cart and the site crash. I am glad to see that the process was smoother for a buyer and will try to buy the next print available…we’ll see how that goes. The one great thing about Mondo is that the customer service is pretty awesome and keeps me coming back to try to buy something again and again.

Any rough ball park estimate as to how big this series is going to be? I would like to make plans for my wall and I wonder how many of these we should be expecting. Or is it completely open ended and planned to last forever?

I had one of these fine posters in my cart. Sadly I had trouble with the new checkout screen and lost it before the lag cleared. It is true that you can loose what is in your cart if the demand is high.
    Shucks.

That’s pretty lame that they’re not going to sell it in stores, any reason behind this Justin?

So does everyone from Austin have to order the next prints online from now on and pay shipping for something we can just pick up?

The Jeff Soto Scrap yard was sold in stores and I feel like people in Austin got shafted because I was banking on this 2nd print to be in stores and passed on it online.

  10. Justin says:

    Bob-

If you live in Austin, you can come to the store and pick up your order. We will refund your shipping charge then. If we have some in store for sale, we’ll always announce it ahead of time in the blog post or on twitter.

  11. can’t wait for the twilight series….

  12. what bums me out even more is that the majority of these that sold out are now on ebay for twice as much. the future sucks.

  13. oh, and some of these guys have 3-5 copies. blah.

  14. bob says:

Oh, I guess it was my fault for assuming that a series of prints were going to be released in a similar fashion as the first print in the series.

I guess I have to just order it online next time then. I had the chance to purchase it yesterday, but I decided to swing by the store when it opened.

  15. bob says:

Instead of saving some for the locals you let people take advantage of the system and get multiple prints because of multiple addresses.

This guy has THREE of them:

Beautiful looking poster. But hard to not notice how it looks a lot like Basil Gogos’s Tuskin Raider. Still sad I missed out on it.
