We’ve Been Framed Returns Featuring Horkey’s Deadman!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a We’ve Been Framed, but I’m going to attempt to make this a recurring feature on the blog. We get a lot of people asking how they should frame their prints, so maybe seeing how others go about it will spark up some inspiration. Today, we are going to take a look at my Deadman poster I framed up for the shop. Stop in and check it out. I think it came out looking great.

I was worried about the letterpress accents not showing up, but they look great under the glass. I also love how the double matting compliments the giclee. This is just the first in the posters we’ll start displaying in the store.

If you’d like us to show off your framed Mondo posters, send me your pictures at Justin@MondoTees.com. Let’s make this happen!

That’s a great frame job. Goes to show that mat colors can really make an image pop. Framing on this scale can run some bucks, but it’s worth it. I recommend using UV protective glass if you hang in a sun exposed room.

That looks excellent. Great compliment to an amazing print.

Awesome frame job. I did something pretty similar with mine, except floated the print and also included a gold mat to accent the gold in the print. As I did it myself, I messed up a couple of spots when cutting the mat, but it’s not too noticeable. Seeing yours though, I wish i had gone with a darker outer mat.

Visitors can get an idea of the matte and frames I’ve had done for Mondo/Alamo posters over on Flickr.

I can’t take pictures, but the matte and frames are well done. Definitely recommend the UV glass. Unfortunately, I end up spending 10x for the framing as I do the posters. OTOH, that makes the posters a bargain.
