i cant believe it!!!! i got a set of star wars prints. im still shocked i got them. thanks justin once again for all your hard work. my heart is still pounding after having bought the set. this feels great!

  2. dylansdad says:

It’s been an awesome year and this was a great way to finish off the Star Wars series!

  3. Dave says:

Managed +1 for the regular set. Like some, I am confused as to what happened with a variant set link. There’s no way someone carted all three individually as they sold out as soon as the went up. I see several people over on EB that snagged variant sets but the link didn’t appear until way after everything was sold out.

  4. Notafastone says:

goddamn, these sold out within a minute! or less. At least I tried but wow. Sadface.

  5. RepDetec82 says:

Cheers on the series! Not sure what happens to the rights after today, but this would make one BOSS coffee table book. Happy New Year all!

  6. iron jaiden says:

Nothin for me today (thems the breaks) but congrats to everyone who scored and a BIG congrats to Mondo for a truly wonderful poster series. You guys put in a lot of hard work and it really paid off. Here’s hoping for more amazing things from the best little poster house in Texas next year and beyond. :)

  7. chisoxfan2424 says:

I got the regular stout set. Four stouts in total with Iron Man 2, sorry to hear it Jaiden. Great job mondo, look forward to next year, and good job Dylansdad, complete set.

  8. Cinema Gary says:

Was on your site as soon as they went on sale, big Star Wars fan missed the last set by Olly Moss thought i’d have a go a snagging these.

Managed to get a regular set in my cart plus shipping to the UK $175 what a surprise when the site crashed, went back to my cart to find item no longer available.

Its a shame I am becoming very jaded about this process, its not the first time this has happened this year, and now sets are already on e-bay for ridiculous amounts of money £900 +

  9. Danny says:

I was able to score BOTH the Regular and the Variant sets!! As soon as I saw the Regular set show up (Variant wasn’t up yet) I carted and purchased immediately. I went back to mourn the loss of the individual variants (they were already sold out) when I saw the Variant set appear when the page refreshed. Was able to cart and purchase that to!!! OH HAPPY DAY. And Today’s my B-Day to boot! Thanks Justin and the Mondo team. This is the BEST B-DAY GIFT EVER!

  10. Jetta_Dave says:

Great set of posters. But once again I got timed out at the ‘Pay Now’ button for the regular set, but I did manage to snag ”A New Hope’ poster. I must also add to not seeing the variant set link until after they had sold out – they went quick!

Mondo/Justin, even though there were a few hiccup again I think you are putting some fantastic posters out – keep up the great work. And a special thanks to all the great artists for their stunning work!

    So what is next?

  11. ken says:

wish the variant set would have popped up sooner but I’m glad I was able to score the regular set
great series Mondo and good work Justin.

  12. Jesse says:

Great work with the entire series!! It was very fun!

  13. rubberneck says:

It really has been a great ride this year! I’m sure the mysterious appearing variant set and those who managed to turn around and score a set either way will become the stuff of legend in a few years ;)

Got the full Mondo SW set (except these Stout variants) and I am extremely happy at that!

    Here’s to 2011 and whatever it holds…

    HNY fellow collectors!

  14. cdubya says:

Not gonna hate too much on Mondo – but the drop was as bumpy as joyride during an earthquake. It’s funny how a couple of ebay sellers have multiple auctions… one is selling a variant set, a regular set, and a few singles of both. So much for the one per household eh Justin? All about the fans.

Over 150 listings for the Stout Star Wars prints within a couple hours of the on sale. Flippers have the upperhand on the fans, plan and simple. Mondo cant really do anything about it I guess, just a sad state of affairs to see what has happened. I was lucky and snagged 2 drops out of the entire SW series, but I probably tried for all of them but 2.

  15. iron jaiden says:

@cdubya: honestly there really isn’t anything Mondo can do about their posters ending up in the aftermarket. You see the run on these things? Damn near a thousand of each of the regular edition. If that ain’t a generous pull nothing is. If one dude gets a couple friends to buy posters and puts them all up under one eBay account that doesn’t somehow make Mondo not “about the fans” anymore as you imply. It just means someone out there is more about making money than participating in this community. Nothing to do with Mondo at all.

Honestly you’ve been posting these jabs at Justin and Mondo for as long back as I care to remember and it’s getting old. Justin cares more about his customers and the fans of these posters than he’ll ever get credit for. Lay off already man.

  16. JB says:

cdubya – Hate the game, not the player.

It’s the business model, not Mondo.

  17. Timothy says:

This Star Wars series was fun (minus the moss and stout sales) but good lord am i glad it’s over.

    here’s to the future friends!

  18. iano-beano says:

    +heehaw

Reg set timed out on PayPal, Variant set never appeared when I refreshed store page.
(only saw variant set by going through twitter link Justin posted, by which time they were long-gone)

Got a few from the series, which I shall covet – Ansin’s A Wretched Hive (love both versions) and RJ’s Ode to Eno… sorry, I mean, King’s Lead Hat (still to receive, but know it will be all kinds of awesome)

Justin, if any sets do end up back on, just send an email to us unfortunates, rather than put them back in the store ;)

Well, it’s time to eat/drink/& be merry, Happy New Year to one and all!

  19. Tony says:

Still cant believe i scored one of the regular Empire posters. its like a lucid dream that wont quit. thanks for some great posters in 2010. I only managed to grab this poster and the Florian Bertmer Night of the Living Dead, but am happy to have both!

    here’s to 2011!

  20. Ross says:

This one was even more frustrating than the Olly Moss drop. Managed to purchase a set only to receive a cancellation 5 hours later with no explanation as to why. Apparently, despite what was broadcast on Twitter, there was some oversell. Very disappointing. I did call the store and would like to say that the gentleman I spoke to, Marko (sp?) was very nice and helpful. Crappy way to end the year but what are you going to do?

  21. Great poster year for me! Missed these, but got Florian’s Evil Dead, Ansin’s Bride of Frankenstein, Stout’s Monster Squad, Millward’s Trick R’ Treat, and Dan McCarthy’s Hoth! Happy 2011 and Justin-keep up the great work!
