Mondo Mystery Movie IX Location Revealed!

We’re a little over a week out from MMM:IX, but we’re now ready to reveal information about the show. Below are some frequently asked questions about the festivities:

WHERE IS THE SHOW?

Riverbend Church
4214 North Capital of Texas Highway
Austin, TX 78746

Parking is free and you should enter the Church off of Cedar Street. You must bring your printed ticket with you.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I SHOW UP?

Please be there no later than 8:30pm. We are closing and LOCKING the doors at 9:30pm. If you’re not there by then, you will miss the show. Bring your printed ticket with you.

SHOULD I BRING A TUBE?

If you want to… sure. Please note though that the posters will all come in tubes.

DO I NEED TO BRING SOMETHING TO SIT ON?

No. We recommend not bringing any blankets, chairs, hammocks, etc. We will provide chairs for you to sit on. But bring your printed ticket.

SHOULD WE COME IN COSTUMES?

Sure! It is Halloween weekend and if you want to come dressed to impress, that would be awesome.

We also recommend that you pick up your tickets from the Alamo S. Lamar Box Office BEFORE the day of the show. You will need to show your physical paper ticket from the box office to get into the Mystery Movie at Riverbend Church. We must emphasize that if you do not have a ticket, you will not be admitted to the screening.

Also, like with all Mondo Mystery Movies, it is one poster per person and tickets are not refundable. For example, if you are one person and come and try to redeem six tickets for six posters…. THAT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. This has been a rock solid rule at all of the Mystery Movies thus far and will continue to be one at this one and all in the future.

If you have any questions, please either send us an email at Store@MondoTees.com or reply in the comments below. See you guys next weekend!

In the words of Bart Scott….Can’t wait!

  2. Dr. Scott says:

So…it’s gotta be something G- or PG-rated, right? As much as I’d like to believe this is “The Exorcist”, there’s no WAY that they’re gonna screen that in a church…right? Or is the church a ruse, and we’ll all get there and find out we’re going somewhere else? Hmmm….

Four of us are flying in that Sat, are you saying we will not be able to pick up tickets that day?

If we can’t then what should we do?

  4. Justin says:

That’s not what we’re saying at all. You can pick the tickets up from the box office on Saturday, but expect a rush.

  5. Ben says:

A little clarification on when we can pick up tickets? I tried tuesday @ adhsl and the system wouldn’t print them out.

    Benelli,

    Cheers,
    Taper

Hi Justin, I have a question, my flight from SF is 4.30 pm and I will arrive in Austin 9.30 pm on October 28. Is there any possibility that I can collect my ticket on October 29 in the morning from Alamo. Please let me know as soon as possible.

    Thanks
    Dal

OK. So considering that I don’t think an operating church would ever allow something like The Exorcist or another horror movie of that caliber to screen there. And ALSO considering that it’s HALLOWEEN weekend. AND the fact that it’s taking place inside a Church….

My guess is going to be War of the Worlds (1953)

  11. Tony says:

Hey Justin, my girlfriend is on crutches right now. Will it be too hard for her to get around?

  12. Ryan says:

What if I’m Jewish? I don’t think my kind is allowed in a church. Will I immediately burst into flames? I’ll have to borrow a friend’s WWJD bracelet… hopefully that will save me.

  13. Justin says:

Yep. You can pick up your tickets on the 29th at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar.

  14. Matt Greene says:

Will there be any food/drink options or should we eat before? Thanks!

  15. will says:

pretty sure during the checkout it said the movie was 2 hours long…

also pretty sure the Exorcist is 2 hours long…

also pretty sure watching the Exorcist in a church would be AMAZING…

also pretty sure Austin churches could give a **** about showing the Exorcist in their church.

    my bets on the Exorcist!

  16. Jason says:

How will seating be handled? First come, first served? Boarding number?

  17. Jon says:

I have three REGULAR tickets available at face value if anyone is in need.

Great show last night! Above and beyond my expectations. Dawn of the Dead is one of my all time favorites. Easily one of the best Halloween nights I’ve had… and George Romero in attendance! Thanks for the wonderful night!
